Type 1 Diabetes is when insulin is not produced. Definition: Type 1 Diabetes is when the body produces no insulin. Insulin is a hormone needed to allow glucose to produce more energy. Type 1 Diabetes is usually caused by autoimmune disease which the cells that produce Insulin are slowly being destroyed by the bodies' own immune system. The symptoms of this disorder are a person’s pancreas produces little or no insulin. It can be through dominant, recessive, or sex linked. 85 percent of Adults get type 1 diabetes. At least 15,000 children and Adults get type 1 diabetes a year. It is detected by being tired all the time and it is diagnosed by an A1C test yeah there are over 30 types of test because people can be allergic to some tests. There is no cure for type 1 diabetes yet and watch your weight stay in shape. Yes they could probably pass it on to their offspring.
