Location - Te Angiangi Marine reserve locates in Hawke's Bay coastline between Aramoana and Blackhead. It also has camping ground at each end of the reserve and great beach accommodation.
Established - The reserve was established in August 1997 by the local community and Department of Conservation.
Who looks after the marine reserve? - The DOC takes care of the reserve with advice from the Te Angiangi Marine reserve advisory committee. Visitors also have be careful while visiting the reserve. If anyone sees something odd you should report it to DOC asap. DOC Hotline - 0800 362 468
- Things to remember - Taking fish, plant and other marine life from the reserve is prohibited.
- Keep the ocean and shore clean
- Respect the rights of others to use the reserve for marine environment studies and other educational purposes.
