Quote:

Just like with alcohol, there has never been found a chocolate addiction gene, a text message addiction gene or even a shopping addiction gene. We know that these addictions exist and they do the same thing to medicate a person from feeling their feelings.

My Ideas:

Alcohol is not a disease you are not born with a addition and you get it toit . Its something you do for a whiile and it is hard to quit.

Quote:

Addictions are a relationship with something that we have chosen to cover up our emotions. An addiction could be a substance (like alcohol), an emotion, a behavior, a thought, a person or an object that is used to hide one's feelings.

My Ideas:

Alcohol is a cover for emotional reason. People have a addition to alcohol or drugs to cover uo the emotions that they have towards a person.

Cardic Arrest

Quote:

Some distraught young man in South Korea plays a video game for fifty straight hours without stopping to sleep or eat, goes into cardiac arrest, and dies. Therefore, video games are addictive, dangerous, and we must either ban them or curtail their use so our children don't die like that poor South Korean.

My Ideas:

This quote talks about a yound man played a game for 50 days straight got into cardic arrest and died.So it is saying that a overuse of video games are dangerous and it states that video games should be banned because of what happened to the man in South Korea.

Quote:

The vast majority of those players are perfectly normal people, meaning that nothing newsworthy ever happens to them, but some small percentage of them are killers, some are extraordinarily depressed, some are suicidal; and every day some video gamer somewhere does something terrible or experiences something terrible.

My Ideas:

The majority of people that do are perfectly normal and there a small percentage of people are killers and some are suicidal. Depending how often you play effects the type of person you will be.
