GlobalTranz Has State-of-the-Art Transportation Management Technology
Founded in 2003 by Andrew Ledo, GlobalTranz is one of the fastest growing companies in Arizona. The company specializes in third-party logistics (3PL) and freight management, including full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and supply chain management services. Throughout its history, GlobalTranz has achieved consistent business success, with an average annual growth rate of 90 percent. Today, GlobalTranz serves more than 18,000 shippers.
GlobalTranz has an expert sales team and state-of-the-art technology to fulfill all its customers’ complex shipping needs. Through the CarrierRate solution, customers can acquire quotes as well as schedule and manage their own LTL shipments. GlobalTranz also has a technology solution to meet its clients’ FTL requirements. The company’s sales staff can also work with customers to identify shipping needs and connect shippers with suitable carriers. In addition, GlobalTranz can work with its broad network of air freight carriers to arrange expedited shipping for customers.
As an added benefit, GlobalTranz has relationships with warehouses throughout the United States to help customers manage their supply chains. As a result of its sustained success, GlobalTranz has earned status as Transport Topics 14th largest freight brokerage company in the United States.
GlobalTranz Names New Board Chairman
Generating annual revenues of more than $500 million, Arizona-based GlobalTranz placed twelfth on the list of largest freight firms in the country as named by Transport Topics in 2016. Using CarrierRate 2.0 software, GlobalTranz allows less-than-truckload customers to obtain quick quotes for shipping.
One of the nation’s leading freight management and third-party logistics providers, GlobalTranz, recently named company CEO Robert J. Farrell to serve as the chairman of its Board. The company also announced that, while serving as the chairman, he will continue as the CEO.
Over his past year, Mr. Farrell has impacted the company’s executive structure significantly. He was also the leading voice behind major changes in the organization’s operating practices. Through both initiatives, Mr. Farrell was able to lead the company to record profits in 2016. Most recently, he helped guide GlobalTranz’s strategic purchase of Global Freight Source. Before taking the reins as the CEO, he functioned as the president and CEO of Kewill, a technology solutions provider for logistics companies.
GlobalTranz Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer
A leading transportation and logistics company that currently maintains relationships with more than 25,000 carriers and shippers, GlobalTranz operates out of its headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. In May 2017, GlobalTranz announced that Kirsten Castillo Hall would join its leadership team as its new chief operating officer.
Formerly the chief executive officer of Logistics Planning Services (LPS), which GlobalTranz acquired in 2017, Hall brings over two decades of experience in operations and supply chain management to her new role. During her time with LPS, Hall played an integral part in implementing the company’s growth strategy and ensuring its continued success in the third-party logistics (3PL) industry.
When speaking about her new position, Hall mentioned her excitement regarding joining GlobalTranz and noted that the role would enable her to offer a seamless transition of services to existing LPS clients in the wake of the company’s purchase. She concluded by noting how she looks forward to developing professionally while contributing to the continued growth of the organization.
