This tackk is about the topics that we have gone through in year7.  Such as states of matter and types of energy.

our first topic was a bout states of matter (solids,liquids, gasses and plasma)

Here are the 4 states of matter in a diagram.

This diagram does not show sublimation  (a solid to a gas) and deposition (gas to a solid)

Facts about water. ( note that different solids, liquids and gasses evaporate and freeze at differnt tempratures.)

water (liquid) freezes at 0 degrees turning it into ice (solid)

Ice is one of the only solids that is less dense than it's liquid state. This can be seen as the ice floats on the water unlike a stone which will sink.

If you heat up water to 100 degrees it will evaporate and turn into steam. (a gas)

THis is called an aporatious, it is used to seporate two liquids at different boiling points.
This is a diagram showing the different prosses to the 3 main states of matter.

On the diagram there are alphabets and this is a key on what they are and what their purpose is.

B: thermometer- tells you how hot the liquid is getting

C: glass tube- helps the gas travel into the other beaker.

D: beaker- where the other liquid is kept when condensed

( please note that this diagram does not labe the tube connecting the two beakers together.  The purpose of that is to condense the tube to cool the gas back into a liquid.)


The next topic was energy. for example types of energy, what wastes energy, energy tranfers and many more.

Here are types of energy you can find in you daily lives. Some more common than others.

Eventhough people might protest that we should change to 100% renwable renwable energy. Our need of electricity everyday, renweable energy can't sustaine the the whole world. In addition, non- renwable energy sources are much more powerful and can produce massive amouts of energy however, polute the earth.

A parallel circuit is a closed circuit in which the current divides into two or more paths before recombining to complete the circuit.

A series circuit is a closed circuit in which the current follows one path, as opposed to a parallel circuit where the circuit is divided into two or more paths.


the smallest structural and functional unit of an organism, which is typically microscopic and consists of cytoplasm and a nucleus enclosed in a membrane.

This is a plant cell. one main differnce to an animal cell is that a plant cell has a cell wall. While the animal cell doesn't have one.
This is an animal cell. This is what our bodies are made up from.

Reporductive system

this is how humans reproduce and multiply.

this is the woman reproductive system it has already been labeled. The baby will sit in the uterus when it is slowly develpoing.

A woman can start sending out eggs from her overies and into her uterus when they reach puberty. Also, Unlike men women have a limited amout of eggs in their overies. Whn an egg isn't fertilized the waste it left as a period.

This is the male reproductive system. The male help by releasing sperm to try to furtilize the egg

This is a womans egg enlarged over 100 times.

THis is a male sperm. It may look big but it is more than 10 times smaller than a womans egg. A man can ejaculate an average of 250 million sperm per ejaculation.

the male will start to produce sperm when they reach puberty. They will will start to have wet dreams and they will keep making sperm for their rest of their lives.

The menstual cycle

This is the menstual cyle already labeled and clear.

When a woman reaches about 50 she stops producing eggs and this isknown as a menopuase.

Every woman is born with a limited nuber of eggs unlike sperm.
