...gravity, gravity, and more gravity...

what is gravity?

Gravity is the force that hols an object of a lesser mass to an object of a greater mass

now imagine if earth had no gravity

1.)does life need gravity?

if there was no gravity, would we even be living?

Now WITHOUT GRAVITY, we all know people would start floating in the air, also our furniture, and plants, and all that. but what we’re forgetting is all the other things that require gravity to stay planted.

what about out atmosphere, or even the water in our oceans? without gravity, the atmosphere - meaning the air we breathe- has no force keeping it on earth.

so, yes, life DOES need gravity to survive.

2.)What causes gravity?

tHIS QUESTION HAS ONLY PATIALLY BEEN ANSWERED BY PHSISCISTS SINCE NEWTON FIRST DISCOVERED THE FUNDAMENTASL FORCE. GRAVITY IS A COMPLICATED FORCE THAT DOES SO MUCH: IT HOLDS THE PLANETS TOGETHER, AND IT BASICALLY HOLDS THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE TOGETHER.

gravity is a curvature in space-time caused by an object of greater mass than surrounding objects. The curvature then cause objects of lesser mass to fall towards the object of greater mass.

3.)Is gravity a theory or a law?

Gravity has never been proven. it could very well be something else keeping us down.

but another thing- gravity could very well be real. just maybe our thinking of how it works may be wrong.

-------------------------------------------------------

4.)how does gravity work?

5.) how do scientists test theories about gravity?

Just like they test all other theories, in a lab with other scientists! But some theories require more than just a simple experiment. Such as my question, is gravity a theory or a law? that may not only require a series of experiments, but a whole lot of research too. Gravity is a force with a lot to learn about, and even the best physicists don't know everything about it.

6.)Is there anyway to block gravity?

First off, now knowing that we would all die without gravity, I wouldn’t see any need to block gravity, but say there was a reason, how would we do it? Is it even possible?

-A new technique is using light to try and block gravity.

-sources say that gravity can’t, and will probably never be blocked from earth,.

7.)WHY IS GRAVITY SO WEAK?

To hold 7 billion people and more onto this world, Gravity seems pretty strong, but gravity is merely appearing to be strong under such large scales.

-ie. there are ways to overcome gravity, or to “defy” it.

-Picking up a magnet with another magnet, it overcomes gravity by going up.

8.)Why does gravity only pull?

WE ALREADY KNOW THAT GRAVITY IS A FORCE OF ATTRACTION BETWEEN MASSES. BUT oTHER FORCES ACTUALLY HAVE OPPOSITES, SUCH AS MAGNETISM. THIS TOPIC HAS INDEED CONFUSED SCIENTISTS FOR YEARS. ALTHOUGH WE’RE TAUGHT GRAVITY IS A FORCE OF ATTRACTION, WE DON’T KNOW ENTIRELY IF IT IS ONLY A FORCE OF ATTRACTION

The force of gravity cannot be blocked, manipulated, or created, WHICH MAKES IT DIFFERENT THAN OTHER FORCES. NOW, MAGNETISM IS A FORCE VERY MUCH UNLIKE GRAVITY, BECAUSE THERE ARE ELECTRIC FORCES INSIDE THE MOLECULES CAUSING IT TO HAPPEN. THE DEFINITION OF GRAVITY: "Gravity is the force of attraction between massive particles.",

-The force of gravity cannot be blocked, manipulated, or created.
-The tWO MASSES ARE ATTRACTED TO EACH OTHER NO MATTER WHAT, KEEPING US ON THE GROUND, SO IT’S KIND OF HARD TO THINK OF THERE POSSIBLY BEING AN OPPOSITE TO GRAVITY, EVEN THOUGH MOST OTHER FORCES ACTUALLY HAVE OPPOSITES.
