Founder at Proforma
Greg Muzzillo founded Proforma in 1978 and has since led the
company to consistent success. Proforma is an advertising specialties
distributor that provides business documents, multimedia services,
ecommerce solutions, promotional products, printing services and total
project management to its clients. Proforma also boasts an extensive
franchise network, and Greg Muzzillo is dedicated to helping his partner
businesses flourish by providing management support as well as
top-quality products and services.
Greg Muzillo understands what growing businesses need because he founded Proforma himself with only $200 and has developed it aggressively over the past 30 years. After only two years, his company had generated over $1 million in sales. In 1985, Proforma won the U.S. Small Business of the Year Award. The company now has over 700 franchises across the United States and Canada. In 2002, Proforma’s network of franchises surpassed $200 million in sales. Under Mr. Muzzillo’s leadership, Proforma has generated over $16 million in the ecommerce department alone.
Greg Muzzillo’s success has not gone unrecognized. Print Solutions and Promo Magazine named Proforma the 2012 number two top distributor. In 2010, Counselor magazine named Mr. Muzzillo and his wife Vera, who brings her financial expertise to the company, “Person of the Year.” The Muzzillos and Proforma’s executive staff strive to create innovative solutions and business plans to help the company run at peak efficiency. Unique aspects of Proforma’s business model include personality testing for job candidates, a major accounts division, a rotating advisory council, and a credit insurance program that helped many Proforma franchises survive during the economic recession.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Greg Muzzillo gives back to the local community and helps educate the next generation of business owners by teaching at Notre Dame University. He assists students from his alma mater (Baldwin-Wallace University) in becoming aware and taking advantage of franchising opportunities. Mr. Muzzillo is also committed to spending time with his family.
