Longtime Agriculture-focused International Consultant Greg Vaut
About Greg Vaut
Possessing more than two decades of experience as a senior advisor to international organizations and governments, Greg Vaut currently serves as a team leader with the multi-donor Agriculture Fast Track Fund program. Beginning his career in the Peace Corps, Greg Vaut initially worked on agricultural projects in Côte d’Ivoire. He subsequently held a position with the Peace Corps’ Agriculture and Rural Development team as a program director for countries such as Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In this position, he spearheaded the development of programs that helped establish small farms and aquaculture networks.
Following his time in the Peace Corps, Mr. Vaut continued to focus on agricultural issues through senior executive positions with major companies such as International Multifoods Corp. and Land O’Lakes, Inc. Mr. Vaut has also held responsibilities as the West Africa regional public-private alliance adviser for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and as Senior Advisor the Kosovo Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development. Greg Vaut has assisted in creating innovative commercial agricultural projects in less-developed countries in more than 50 countries.
