Integrating technology with Social Studies

My third graders are completing a travel brochure on a city we have studied in our Social Studies Alive! I collaborated with my librarian and decided that instead of a travel brochure they would create a Thinglink presentation on that city. They have to include a map of the city and state, the city's climate (text and pictures), the city's natural resources (text and pictures) and the city's physical features (text and pictures). We are just starting the assignment so I don't have an example but I do have two examples already on Thinglink that show what I want my students to complete.
