Plitvice Lakes National Park is the largest National Park in Croatia & the oldest National Park in South-East Europe.
About Plitvice Lake National Park:
This beautiful area encloses 16 turquoise lakes connected by waterfalls and cascades. Animal life flourishes here, it is home to over 120 rare species of birds. There are also a wide range of bears, deer, rabbits, badgers, and boars. Wooden footbridges follow the water, it goes on for 18 km. There are beautiful butterflies that flutter throughout the park. The entire park is a very quiet, serene, and beautiful area.
Things To Do There:
You cannot swim in the lake in order to preserve the wildlife but you can take rides in the boats around the lake. Many people come to hike in the beautiful trails and this is also a perfect place for bird watchers. Although the trails are well marked and well maintained, you need to be careful because there is wildlife.
