Pollution

Industrial Revolution was a big part in the advancement of Pollution. Now, don't get me wrong, Industrial Revolution was a good thing but, it also had it's drawbacks. It was a HUGE advancement in technology. But, it was also a HUGE "advancement" in Pollution. Since all of the new machinery was invented then, it led even more inventions such as the railroad. Leading to massive air pollution from all the exhaust. "By the late 18th century and first part of the 19th century, coal came into large-scale use during the Industrial Revolution. The resulting smog and soot had serious health impacts on the residents of growing urban centers." (History.com) See, not only was the air pollution affecting our planet, it was affecting the people living on it as well. "In 1948, severe industrial air pollution created a deadly smog that asphyxiated 20 people in Donora, Pennsylvania, and made 7,000 more sick." (History.com) How is Industrial Revolution a good thing if it's doing all this to the people and planet? All of this, is why Industrial Revolution was a big part in Pollution.
