This is oil spill A and I have split it up into 17 different pieces.

This is the numbering for all the shapes.

This half of the work is shapes 1-10

This is shapes 11-17

When I added up all of the rectangles/squares I got 25,650 miles squared .

When I got the measurement for the circle it was 206.5 rounded up 207 miles squared.

When I added up all of the triangles I got 3,488 miles squared

The total estimated miles squared of the oil spill is 29,345 miles squared.

I don't think that any of the measurements are right because in order to get the perfect measurement I would have to find the area of the shapes with curved lines which would be very hard to do.

Taking a look at the picture I think that I got more because when I multiply base times height it mean for the whole shape and some of the shapes have ridged edges, and they are not full triangles or circles or squares.
