PRESS RELEASE - August 21, 2013 - CLEVELAND - Cleveland based online printing & design company, Hotcards has teamed up with iLTHY's Glen Infante, one of the city's most respected and accomplished graphic designers, to create a fifteen foot mural of Steve Jobs within their new World Headquarters.

Hotcards has been in the print & design business for almost 15 years, but since 27 year old entrepreneur John Gadd purchased the company in September of last year and breathed new life into it, the walls of Hotcards are bursting at the seams with the energy, excitement, and innovation of a cutting edge startup. “I’ve always respected Steve for his incredible ability to build sustainable businesses while facing total defeat – without ever compromising on the details, design, and user experience. That’s the same culture we champion at Hotcards.” With the work, vision, and philosophy of Apple founder Steve Jobs being such an inspiration and influence to Gadd, a tribute to the man on their walls seemed more than appropriate.

The mural was painted by Glen Infante, founder and designer of the popular clothing line iLTHY, who often calls upon pop culture references of the 80s and 90s for its aesthetic. “Glen has a special talent for creating iconic images of history’s culture warriors – he was the perfect artist for the project.”

The Steve Jobs mural is the latest step towards a visual transformation of Hotcards, who recently moved their World Headquarters into a giant loft space in downtown Cleveland. "We've got a lot of blank wall space right now," says Gadd, "and we want to fill it with inspiring pieces from artist all over the city. It's a great way to showcase the ridiculously talented arts scene here, as well as create an environment that keeps our team and customers excited." – the Epic Renaissance of a Cleveland Icon

As Margaret Meade once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Originally founded in 1998, changed the way people buy print in Cleveland, as well as around the world. We helped revolutionize an industry that’s so commonplace – people consume it like air. We now feel it’s time to do more, go bigger, make a dent in the universe. It starts with the re-launch of our website and logo – and it continues with an insanely obsessive care for our customers, teammates, culture, and mission. Welcome to the new Hotcards – it’s time to Become Known.
