Remembrance Of The Horrific Day Of 9/11
On September 11, 2001, people went to work, children went to school, and people carried on their regular day schedule. At 8:45 a passenger airline jet crashed into the first World Trade Center building. Many people scrambled, especially in the other Twin Tower. People were wanting to leave, and evacuate the buildings, but people were told that it was just an accident that a plane hit the first Twin Tower. Due to this, workers in the other Twin Tower sat and watched as the first tower that was hit started to crumble. That is when the second plane hit the second building and trapped thousands of people inside. As the two buildings burned and crumbled people began jumping out, of their office windows refusing to die from smoke inhalation. By 10:30, both of the Twin Trade Center buildings have crumbled to the ground killing thousands of innocent lives. Later that day it was discovered that there were four planes headed to attack major American landmarks. One plane hit the Pentagon, and another plane had hit a cornfield and crashed. Until this day people will never forget the thought of 9/11. The day of 9/11 changed the lives for many Americans, causing more awareness to serious terrorist threats, and the United States national security. After every 9/11 memorial day, I always remember how lucky I am to be able to have my whole family safe with me, while other children are missing a parent, friend, or relative who became a victim of 9/11. Even though everyone gets angry about how this happened to innocent lives, I feel as though that you can't change the past, but remember the 3,000 lives that were lost on the horrific day of 9/11.
