SLAM IT!  Communicate

Communicate Resources

ROUND #1:
Remind vs. Yet Another Mail Merge

  • Mail Merge Gmail from Google Sheet responses!  Great for emailing your students with customized messages and parents with customized praise/concerns.
  • See how (Directions & Video)

ROUND #2:
Gmail Tasks vs. Google Keep vs. Trello

  • Use Google Tasks to keep track of the things you need to do. You can create lists of items, set due dates and notes, and even add Gmail messages directly to Tasks.  And this synchs to Google Calendar too :)  My favorite: Gmail/More/Add to Tasks
  • Quickly create, access and organize notes, lists and photos with Google Keep. All your notes can be shared, sent as reminders and are automatically stored in Drive.
  • More about Google Keep HERE
  • Ditch the sticky notes, spreadsheets, email, and clunky software for managing your projects.  Trello lets you see everything about your project in a single glance. It’s a list of lists filled with cards, used with a team or by yourself.

  • Great for Project Based Learning and collaborative projects.

ROUND #3:  Google Add-ons
Easy Accents vs. Table Formatter vs. Google Voice

Google Docs Add-on:  Easy Accents

  • This Add-on allows users to easily insert accents for different languages directly from a sidebar in their Google Doc.

Google Docs Add-on Table Formatter

  • Table Formatter allows you to use MS Word features in your Docs. Customize table styles and backgrounds. Create your own templates.

Google Voice

  • Google Voice gives you one number for all your phones. Use Google Voice to simplify the way you use phones, make using voicemail as easy as email, customize your callers' experience, and more.
  • Google Voice isn't a phone service, but it lets you manage all of your phones. Google Voice works with mobile phones, desk phones, work phones, and VoIP lines.
  • Google Voice will let you define which phones ring, based on who's calling, and even let you ListenInTM on voicemail before answering the call. We use smart technology to route your calls.
