The Steel Plow
By: Azia Huntsberry
The Steel Plow was made by John Deere.
The Steel plow was first invented in 1837. John Deere first used a saw blade then he did tests on different types of soil with this blade. He eventually used steel and the plow was invented. The Steel plow was invented for the use of breaking up rough soil. This solved problems of farming and working hard on the field. The Plow made life easier because not a lot of time was wasted breaking up the soil rather than planting. crops could be plowed without the tools breaking. The only problem with the Steel plow was that steel could only come from Great Britain. So, as you can see, the steel plow made life easier for many different people then and now.
