Volleyball Senior Night

Pocahontas Area High School -- October 9th, 2014

Senior Volleyball Players (Left to Right): Brooke, Addy, Kate, Jordyn, and Rose

It was a heart-warming night for the Pocahontas Area Laurens-Marathon volleyball team and their fans last night at the game as they honored their senior leaders. This year's seniors are Brooke Runnenberg, Addy Boettcher, Kate Vonnahme, Jordyn Radig, and Rose Meyer (pictured above). The underclassmen had a very classy program for their 5 seniors, filled with smiles and inside jokes. They also presented the girls will a large framed photo, a box of "Mike and Spike" candies, and a gold volleyball that was signed by the entire volleyball program. The girls thanked their parents and their fellow teammates, took a few photos, and prepared for the real star of the night -- the match against rival school, Manson Northwest Webster. Each set was fought down to the end, but the Indians fell short to the Cougars. Although the match ended bitterly, this was not the final fight for the PAC-LM Indians. On the 14th of October, the Indians will be traveling to Rockwell City to take on South Central Calhoun, Newell-Fonda, and Storm Lake Saint Mary's in the start of the Conference Tournament that will take place on the 14th and the 16th of October.
