Biome: Jungle                                 Home Range/habitat: Within the Amazon Basin,such as, the flood plain lakes of this region, larger tributaries of the Amazon river, and varzea or forest


1.) gills instead of lungs                  1.) larger, thicker scales for protection   

2.) lack limbs with digits                  2.) wide mouth that faces upward

3.) covered with scales                    3.) tail is small and the body is wide

4.) two sets of paired fins                4.) breeding is nearly impossible in an aquarium

Common name: Wyoming toad(native to North America)       Scientific name: Bufo baxteri

Biome: Boreal forest, or Taiga             Habitat: floodplains, ponds, small lakes in mixed grass prairies

2.)skin has keratin, keeps animal hydrated     2.)regrow lost teeth

3.scales keep in moisture, avoid skin damage 3.)regulate body temperature

4.) have lungs to breath                                 4.)good swimmers to cross narrow oceans

5.) use shade to keep from over heating         5.)don't need as much food as warm blooded animals.

Common name: White headed buffalo         Scientific name:Dinemellia dinemelli

Biome: Terrestrial                                       Habitat:desert, dune, savanna, grassland, forest


1.) air sacs so they can fly                    1.) have wings to catch bugs in the air and in trees

2.) hollow bones for lighter flight             2.) have strong feet to hang upside down

3.) feathers to keep them warm             3.) light weight so it can fly easily

4.) colors to keep them camouflage        4.) small groups to avoid predators

5.) lungs so they can breath for flying     5.)make nests sharp & pointy to avoid preadators

biome: tundra                                         habitat: eastern Russia's birch forests


1.) extra layer of fat to keep warm              1.)claws extend when catching a prey or an itch

2.) hair to help regulate body temperature   2.) 4 inch teeth to rip threw flesh

3.) backbone that are flexible up and down  3.)camouflage to hide from prey and poachers

4.) female feed young milk                         4.)6 times better night vision than humans to catch their prey and from poachers.

5.) ability to sweat                                      5.)depend on sight instead rather than smell or hearing for its prey
