Words to Live By
"Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game" -Babe Ruth
I like this quote because to me it basically says that you have to take risks, to get rewards. I like it because it also means that don't be afraid to have dreams and strive for excellence. This will help me in the future, because it motivates you to try to go out there and persevere to reach a goal.
My dad is my role model. He is hard working and a genuinely fun person to be around. He has shown me to not give up and to face hardships and overcome them. He has shown me multiple skills in which will help me for the rest of my life. These skills make me a better person.
My dad is also one of the kindest people I know. He used to help me with my homework, and help me improve as an athlete. He is never genuinely angry and is just overall a great person. He has shown me that if you want something, you gotta go out there and get it.
Words From an Anesthesiologist
Anesthesiologists have a very important yet dangerous job that has to be done quickly and accurately. Dr. Alexander A. Hannenberg an Anesthesiologist in Newton, Mass. shows this when he says, "'I wish the pace of the operating room weren't so quick and the pressure to move from patient to patient so great. I have only a brief time to get to know my patients, and sometimes we'd both benefit from a greater opportunity to interact" (Lawinski.) This job requires great skill and precision. This job has to make accurate and quick decisions on the best way to sedate a patient for surgery. This job is one of the most important in the medical field, and if done improperly can be fatal.
