Kerry Washington is an American actress/civil rights activist. She stands up for women's civil rights and is apart of the Creative Coalition and is on the board of the V-Day organization, an organization that works to end violence on women. Kerry was born January 31, 1977 in New York City. She's passionate for violence against women because growing up in NYC you see a lot of it, and want to end it. Kerry's role of being on the board of the V-Day foundation was the most influential. Her speech at the V-Day foundation conference was the most renowned accomplishment for the cause.
