- I think Mesopotamia advanced in writing, their laws, and art/architecture.
Writing in Ancient Mesopotamia was more advanced because they were the first to create writing. The writing they created was called cuneiform. Cuneiform is wrote in symbols, not letters. They also had people who worked as scribes. Scribes where the only people who knew how to read and write.
Also, their laws where very advanced. Their laws where the first written laws recorded. The laws where called Hammurabi's Code. Their code was based off Social Classes. If a poor man cut off the arm of a rich man, then the poor man would loose an arm.
Art is also one of the most advanced things in Mesopotamia.
