The Yellowstone Super-Volcano is located in Yellowstone National Park which covers three states: Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. This volcano is famously known for is large capacity. This caldera was created by a massive eruption approximately 640,000 years ago. The last known eruption was around 174,000 years ago, which created the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake. The volcano is still currently active according to the University of Utah, which tracks the activity of earthquakes around the area yearly.
