Safety with Knives
By Thomas Sasser
You can prevent cuts several ways. You can keep knives sharp so you don't have to cut so hard and end up cutting yourself. You should wash knives separately. You should also never cut toward yourself and never point a knife at someone. You should also store knives in proper holders like the one shown above and never put your fingers near blades of blenders or food processors. If you ever break something, make sure you dispose of any broken glass properly with a broom.
Cut first Aid
If somebody cuts themselves, here are a few ways to help them. If somebody gets cut, cover the wound and apply pressure to stop the bleeding. You should also wash the wound with soap and water. If the cut is severe, you should bring the person to the nearest hospital immediately.
