I found that they have 2 unique places in history known as, near Thamesville they have a site of a famous battle in the war of 1812. It is their that Shawnee leader Tecumesh was killed during the Battle of the Thamesville. It is also the birthplace of Robertson Davies who wrote the Depthford Trioligy
