About Heather Schwartz Masonville New York
An assistant professor of history, Heather Schwartz has developed a number of courses on the American Revolution, the American Civil War, and other topics in American history. After graduating with a BS in history and mass communications from Towson University in Maryland, she matriculated at Binghamton University in New York, where she earned an MA and PhD in history. Since 2013, Heather Schwartz has served as an assistant professor at SUNY Delhi, a technology college located in New York’s Catskill region approximately 40 minutes from the town of Masonville, New York. Many of the the students come from the the Catskill region, including the Masonville area, and upstate New York, as well as from New York City.
In addition to teaching, Professor Schwartz has written chapters for the “Encyclopedia of U.S. Political History” and the encyclopedia, “American Centuries: The Ideas, Issues, and Values That Shaped U.S. History.” In 2013, Schwartz received a SUNY Delhi professional development grant to conduct research at the American Philosophical Society, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and the Library Company of Philadelphia.
