Turning STEM into STREAM

Writing as an Essential Component of  Science Education.

A movement to turn STEM ( science, technology, engineering and maths) into STREAM( science,technology, reading, engineering, arts, math).

Why? The average science course requires a student to learn the same number of new vocabulary words as he or she would in a foreign language course.

A group of ten teachers discussed the virtues of using tablet technology in the science classroom for STREAM.

Creating a 1:1 Classroom Environment

  How do you set up a 1:1 device to student.

Moodle, yammer, the use of social networks. The founders of Cyderprise   talked about their solutions.

How do we educate students to use digital technology responsibly- and within Catholic Teachings?
