By Adam Corkran

Copyright is how you protect ownership of your product. There are more than one type of this.

Public Domain: When a site is not protected because it does not meet standards.

Example: Classical Literature

Freeware: When you are able to use and share something that is a free software.

Example: Itunes

Shareware: Things that you can share with no penalty to spread the product around.

Example: Netflix free trial

All Rights Reserved: You may only do things with this that you company says you can.

Example: When you buy a game

Open Source: In a product the coding is included in hopes that someone improves it.

Example: Firefox, Chrome
