Christmas Light WebQuest

How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb?

The independent variable is the burned out bulb and the dependent variable is the circuits used.

If the parallel circuit has a burned out bulb, then the lights will not work.

I noticed that all of the lights lit in the parallel circuit.

When one bulb is removed or burned out the lights still shine.

If the series circuit has a burned out bulb, then the series will fail.

The light in the series circuit is dim, but is still shining.

None of the lights worked when one bulb was removed.

A parallel circuit is best for Christmas lights because when one is removed the series will  still work.
