Hiroshima - The Great Loss of Japan
The building (top) was the only one that survived the bomb. Interestingly, It was at the epicenter of the explosion. The map (second) shows where Hiroshima is located. The theme of this topic is loss because the people of Hiroshima not only lost their city, but also lost their faith and family.
If I had been able to provide assistance to any survivors, I would have provided them with painkillers and clean water. The painkillers would help them overcome some symptoms and feel less pain and since the water was contaminated, less would die with clean water. This would make the survivors experience less pain during the radiation outbreak. I would also dig some people out of the rubble to help them survive.
From a silver, shining plane,
Comes the little, diving pod.
Made to be Hiroshima's bane,
They will soon be looking for God.
A blast of ultraviolet light,
A white flash so bright.
A massive, tearing boom,
And a cloud shaped like a giant mushroom.
Collapsing buildings tearing apart,
Fires creating a horrid art.
Radiation tearing across the land,
Has Hiroshima reached it's final stand?
Radiation tearing apart families,
Reducing the victim's white blood cell count.
Almost impossible to create some analogies,
America now beginning to surmount.
