Alpha Moving and Storage - Advance Planning
Moving from one home to another is widely viewed as a stressful experience. But it doesn't have to be; like many things in life, a little advance planning can make all the difference.
In the majority of cases, you'll have a month or more to get ready for moving day, and it is important to use this time wisely. If you are moving a house's worth of belongings then it is probably going to be a pretty big job. A good strategy is to give yourself a daily quota of boxes to fill or rooms to pack. Don't think you'll be able to do it all in just a day or so. Your stress level will go way down if you just keep chipping away at the job, a little bit at a time.
If you're using a professional moving company then leave the contents of your closets to them. They should provide special wardrobe boxes on the day of the move, and easily transfer the clothing that's hanging in your closet into hangers in the wardrobe boxes.
As soon as you have a closing date on your new home, call all of the utility companies and get those all switched over. This is especially important if you are moving into a newly built house, or one that has been vacant for a while and has all the power turned off.
On moving day, or maybe just before, haul all the basics out before the truck gets there. If your new place is close enough, begin taking this stuff over. The moving professionals at Alpha Moving and Storage are among the premier moving companies in New Jersey and are committed to making the moving experience of their customers as hassle-free as possible.
