Dress for Success

OHIO STATE RECRUITMENT 2014

Round 1: House Tours

Casual comfort is key! Keep in mind you will be walking up, down, and all around each sorority house several times each day. The last thing you want is sore feet keeping you distracted while talking to potential future sisters. First impression is EVERYTHING and you want to make sure you are on top of your game. The first two days of recruitment are arguably the two longest days of recruitment, as well. Dress for it! My recommendation? Boots or flats, a good pair of jeans, and a casual top.

What to Wear

Secondly, treat house tour rounds as an opportunity to show the chapters your personality (tastefully, of course). Do not change your style to impress anyone--there is no need. If you feel confident in that crazy cat sweater your grandma knitted for you then WEAR IT! Sororities are interested in getting to know you as a person and being yourself is the best way to make that happen.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: COMFY CASUAL DOES NOT MEAN LAZY SLOB

While you want to be comfortable, it is important to look like you are making an effort. Studies show that when woman get dressed up their confidence increases, therefore, increasing their performance. As much as we'd all love to do recruitment in our PJs, throwing on some jeans and running a brush through your hair may be in your best interest!
