What would you have to do to build houses and sustain life in outer space?

My hypothesis is maybe you could if you put the pieces of the house together without them floating away. Also you would have to have stores so you could buy food and clothes and that type of stuff. Another thing would be it couldn’t be too far or too close to the sun or we would freeze or burn to death. Also we would have to have an orbit together so one of the houses or stores wouldn’t float away.
First you would have to build the house on Earth then rocket it up into outer space but, it needs to be built kind of like a space rocket so if it gets out of orbit you could just put it back in place with the rockets so it comes back with the stores and other houses.(the stores would be like the houses with rockets too.) The rockets would be used for getting into outer space also.
Making rockets work without air is pretty simple. All it is, is when a rocket shoots fuel out of one end, it propels the rocket forward. Its like standing on a skateboard and then throwing a bowling ball forward, that force will push you and the skateboard back. However since your weight is heavier than the skateboard you won’t move as
You would also have to have food. So food wise you would need to pack all the stuff you need. But when you're done with it you have to have a place to dispose the garbage. So your going to need to reduce the amount of garbage. Also air takes up space to so you need something to to get rid of carbon dioxide. You now that you can’t just open the door and breathe in more because if you did that in outer space you would die. So you would need a lot of plants to get rid of the carbon dioxide so you could have fresh air. But the cons about plants are that it would need water, sunlight, and fertilizer. You have to think
