Thomas Alva Edison

Thomas Edison ( Thomas Alva Edison) was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. His parents names are Samuel and Nancy Edison. He of six siblings was last to be born. At the age of 8 Thomas was put into a school called for 12 weeks then pulled out for homeschooling. At the age of 12 Thomas saved a 3 year old from being hit by a train.
Thomas Edison was In a public school for twelve weeks but then was pulled out for homeschooling. He had other jobs before becoming an inventor. Thomas worked for the Western Union Company.
All of Thomas' work was done in New Jersey. Thomas had many great contributions to science like the light bulb. Also he had made the phonograph, motion picture and the alkaline storage battery.Thomas also had many achievements too. For example Thomas was awarded the french legion of honor in 1881, Matteucci medal in 1887, and in 1889 Thomas was awarded the grand officer of the crown in Italy.
Thomas died on October 18, 1931 of diabetes. Thomas was a great inventor and will always be remembered.
