How do you think one person could change the world?
How do you think one person could change the world? Jackie Robinson was a thoughtful person because he could go on that field day in and day out and all he would need was a bat and a glove. Jackie Robinson was also a very courageous person because he could go on the field and block out all the racism and all he wanted to do was to play baseball. Jackie also had a lot of leadership because he played in the negro leagues and somehow managed up enough courage to join the minors to play with Montreal, and he wanted other negro ball players to follow in his footsteps. I'm going to be telling you about these qualities which are courageous, leadership, and thoughtful.
Jackie Robinson was thoughtful because he would go on that field and the whites that would call him names, towards the end of the season the whites actually wanted his autograph, and he still gave them that autograph. Jackie was also thoughtful because he made a very thoughtful quote that quote was " a life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives." " reads the tombstone of Jackie Robinson."Jackie was also thoughtful because after he left the majors he pursued in interests while continuing to work on his behalf of the civil rights. Jackie was also thoughtful because he never got in fights with whites because he wouldn't let them get in his head, and later won rookie of the year. This is why I think Jackie was thoughtful.
Jackie was also very courageous because when he was called up to the majors he didn't even hesitate on saying yes. The manager for the Brooklyn Dodgers said that he loved baseball, and wanted talent not skin color, and Jackie agreed to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He was also courageous because "Robinson made his debut in 1947, and Jackie had promised the manager that he would control his fiery temper."Also he overcame the racial slurs, and kept his promise. Also Jackie was courageous because when he went on the field, and blocked out all the racism, and let the bat do the talking, because Jackie had a 342 batting average making him batting champion that year, and later won rookie of the year. These are my reasons why Jackie was courageous.
- Jackie also had a lot of leadership because he was a hero for other black kids, and parents that wanted to play baseball. Also when blacks played with whites the whites would be Jackie because they thought Jackie was good. Jackie also had leadership because he led Brooklyn Dodgers to 6 national pennants, and he also got whites to support him playing baseball. "He also had a lot of leadership because he gave up professional football and was drafted into the United States army." These are my reasons why Jackie had a lot of leadership. "Jackie also over his entire career batted (311 batting average) over his 10 year career." "Jackie Robinson also exelled at baseball, football, basketball, and track." Jackie also had 4,877 at bats in his 10 year career." These are some good facts about Jackie Robinson. Overall I think Jackie is one of the greatest civil rights people that actually had an impact. watch these videos they are great documentaries. thanks for reading my page I will write more of these great tackks if you like my page than I hope you enjoyed it.
