Pablo Neruda was born July 12, 1904 in Parral, Chile. he is a poet stirred controversy with his affiliation with the Communist Party. He had outspoken support of Joseph Stalin, Fulgencio Batista and Fidel Castro he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971. Had died September 23, 1973, Santiaco, Chile and education Temuco Boys' School and University of Chile. He uses metaphors and similes in his poems, and some of the poems names are bird, always, a dog has died, a lemon.


His father was a railway employee and his mother, who died shortly after his birth,a teacher. Some years later his father, who had then moved town of Temuco, remarried doña Trindad Candia Malverde. He had spent his childhood life in Temuco, where he also got to know Gabriela Mistral. Head at his secondary school many girls like him. At age 13 he started reading La Mañana.

In 1923 he sold all of his stuff to his finance the publication of his first book ("Twilight"). The following year, he found a publisher for " Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair". The book made a celebrity of Neruda, who gave up his studies at the age of twenty to devote himself to his craft. IN 1927 , Neruda began his long career as a diplomat in the Latin American tradition of honoring poets poets with there assignments.

What did the author meant from this poem is that that the person is in love with this person and that person do not even notice it is in love.

The reason I choose this poem because it is translated and I like because it tells about someone who likes you and you don't even notice anything. The poem rhyme and metaphor appeals to sight
