Robert Whiteside S&E Marketing Final

Find and evaluate a movie poster (must include a picture of the poster)

The poster itself brings anyone's attention who is interested in si-fi type things, in general. The poster clearly demonstrates what the plot is. He is part robot, he is wielding a large weapon, and there is burning vehicles in the background. Also you can see some kind of object in the background, in space, possibly it is the cause of the conflict and people want to go there. Like I said a poster like this is very eye catching and will make people curious in general and want to see the movie. From the poster alone I just want to see it!

Write about changes you see coming in the way TV is delivered and watched by viewers and what that means for the way they should be marketed.

TV is currently delivered through one of the few providers such as Dish or Direct TV. AS this method currently works and is supported by people because it is very easy and accessible. But over the past few years a few new internet based companies/sites have sprung up which offer basically the same service. Things such as hulu and netflix. I feel these will eventually take over TV as a whole or you'll see exclusive shows brought to these such as House of Cards on netflix which is an amazing show. If it does eventually happen, I feel it will allow our generation to have access to more things to watch via the internet and it will promote the creation of new television/internet shows.

With the way the internet is going I eventually see TV being completely replaced/outsourced to 3rd party companies and TV shows will try their best to become explusive on certain sites or other forms of media. This being said marketting will probably have to be changed and instead of just advertising a show you'll also have to advertise the medium that goes with it meaning netflix/hulu.

Currently new movies are still mainly released to theaters first to sort of force people to go out and see them if they are really intrerested and don't feel like waiting months and maybe even years before they can get it on netflix or from some other medium. In the future I'm guessing that theaters will probably become out dated and replaced with something similar to netflix. The current problem with netflix is the ability to give the information to your friends so they can also see the movies, ect. If a company wanted to make money they would have to somehow limit an account to an IP address but this then can cause issues if theirs is some how changed or they end up having to change it.

If you ran your own amusement or theme park, what additional value would you offer that would encourage people to either stay longer or spend more money? Explain in detail.
