Floods

by Harrison Lee

A flood is a overflow of water that submerges land. A flood is usually a result of heavy rainfall, dam failure or rapid snow melt. Floods can kill people, but they are typically temporary and only a small area is affected. If a flood ever happens, there is little to do but flee for high ground. Mainly, there are three types of flooding, Riverine,  Flash and ice jam.

Fun Fact: floods can leave giant ripples

In this picture people are trudging in the water and as you can see, the water is rising up on a car.
