what is the basic information

-It is a condition in all women and happens as you age. Begins silently somewhere around 40 years of age when periods may become less regular. Some women experience this at a younger ages due to premature Ovrian failure, cancer therapy, or surgical removal of both ovaries.

What hormones, organs, or glands does it affect and how?

-The ovaries that makes estrogen and progesterone which are horomones. It affects it by not letting it release eggs.

What are signs/ symptoms of this condition.

-Hot flashes, irregular or skipped periods, mood swings, depression, headaches, changes in sex drive, bladder control problems, irritability.

What causes this condition?

-Women born with a finite number of eggs, which are stored in the ovaries.

How is this condition treated and what is the success rate of the treatment?

- there is no treatment because it is not an illness.
