United States v. Nixon

The US v. Nixon case was about the Watergate scandal, which was about Nixon’s administration hiring five burglars to break in to the Democratic headquarters at the Watergate complex building and obtain info on how to get Nixon to win the presidential election. The burglars were caught and the incident was traced to Nixon and his friends. He tried to cover it up but failed. He was guilty.

Amendments: The 5th and 14th amendments were involved.

Concepts: The Rule of Law and Executive Privilege. Nixon went against both concepts by abusing his power as president, and knew he was abusing his presidential powers.
