Myths and Me
A myth proven wrong
"I can't learn anything from reading fiction "
The statement above is a myth or theory by some. It means exactly what it says. Fictional books can't teach readers anything valuable. That they are purely to be read for entertainment purposes. But in my opinion this myth is bogus. I know from personal experience that you can learn from fictional books. An example would be the fictional series "The Hunger Games". Many can agree that these books have taught people to be courageous, bold, and brave. Fictional books may not give facts but they bestow morals and lessons for people to look to. Take fables for example. These stories teach us many things and are a form of fiction. Fiction can give people just as much knowledge as a non fictional book can. You just have to know the right information to take in.
