Salad in a Jar
Save space, reduce food waste, eat healthy
From top to bottom:
- Salad dressing
- Shredded carrots
- Cherry tomatoes
- Sunflower seeds
- Hard-boiled eggs
It's pretty simple: arrange ingredients in a large mason jar. Store in fridge up to a week. When you're ready to eat: shake the jar, pour salad on a plate and eat!
You can also add cucumbers, onions, radishes, peppers or other fresh ingredients. Just remember to always put the dressing on the bottom, where it won't touch the greens. That way it stays fresh!
NOTE: Speaking of staying fresh... if you're making a few salads at a time, remember to vacuum-seal the jars to keep the salad crisp. I've shared two ways to seal your jars below.
