Iberian Lynx

Lynx Pardinus

Bella Veloz and NINA MATTS

An Iberian Lynx, also known as the cat with eyeliner, is the most endangered big cat. Iberian Lynx's live in the semi-deciduous forests of Southern Spain. They eat European Rabbit, which makes up 90% percent of their diet. But the Lynx is not dying off because it's being hunted. Nothing hunts the Lynx. The Iberian Lynx is dying because the European Rabbit is dying of disease. With nothing to eat the Lynx starves. This makes the lynx CRITICALLY ENDANGERED. There are thought to be less than 50 adults left. Another reason they are dying off is they can only have 2-3 babies at a time and they have to be at least 1 year old.
