Diversification : Solid Retirement Account Investment Strategy
One of the cornerstones of a solid retirement account investment strategy is diversification. There are various schools of thought on how one should diversify, and even the word itself means different things to different people. There are, however, a few guidelines that have helped investors go from earning average returns (or worse) to successfully securing a comfortable future for themselves and their families.
The old saying about "not putting all of your eggs in one basket" is one way to describe diversification. There is no limit on the number of different asset classes you can take advantage of when IRA investing, so in theory you could have all of the following in your retirement account(s):
