Obsessive Compulsive Disorder- Spencer Cassel

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, or OCD is a mental disorder that causes unreasonable obsession that leads to repeated behaviors.

OCD affects around 2.3% of people between ages 18- 54, this is far more than other disorders such as schizophrenia.

You can tell that a person has OCD if they seem to be unrationally obsessive or compulsive.  

OCD is treated through medication and psychotherapy.  Treatment may not completely cure the disorder, but can help to get the symptoms under control.

To recieve treatment people should notify a doctor of their symptoms that they have noticed and take tests to confirm the disorder.
