An Autocratic leader is one who is know to be very harsh, controlling, and bossy.  This can cause lack of motivation and alienation the followers or other groups of people.  Their people have a high dependency on them which could be good but in most cases it is not.  

Adolph Hitler

When Hitler cam into power in Germany during the late 1930's and early 1940's, he became one of the ,last feared rulers around the globe.  Not only was he bossy, comtrolling, and dictorial, but he distiller fear into to his people so they would follow him.  They became so dependent on the leader that for tht longest time, no one wouldve dared to try and take him down.
