Shaping my Life

Britta Irvine

Basketball trips have really shaped me in my life. I got to bonded with some of my best friends, that have been my best friends since 3rd grade and it is all because of basketball that we go to stay together. I’ve been to numerous tournaments where we have to stay in hotels. I got to create some of the best memories there. Some that I will never forget.

Vanessa was the first dog, mater fact pet, that I ever had. She shaped me to learn to love and care for animals ever since I was little. She was the best dog I ever had, and I knew that she loved me very much. She shaped me into a better person. I knew I always had her to count on.

Tping with my friends when I was younger was a great part of my childhood. It didn’t necessarily shape me into a better person, but I had a great time doing it. It brought me closer to my friends, and it gave me a rush of excitement.

Ding Dong Ditching

Another late night activity that my friends and I did, was ding-dong ditching. I have memory after memory of this. This again didn’t make me a better person, but it fun and entertaining. It shaped me by allowing me and my friends to let out some energy, and to get a thrill.

Oliver's Market

After school when I was in middle school, my friends and I would walk to Oliver's market everyday after school. We would buy ice cream for a dollar a scoop and eat it, and mess around. It was the time after school when we could all relax before going home and doing homework. This has shaped me because it taught me that if I rest for a little bit after school then start my homework I am more likely to get it all done faster.

My sisters are a huge part of my life. They teach me so very much everyday. I also know that they always have my back no matter what. They have shaped me by knowing what is right and what is wrong. They help me when I am having a hard time and always know what to do. If I didn’t have them I wouldn’t be who I am today.
