The pocket watch was invented by Peter Henlein in Nuremberg, Germany between 1400-1500. This miraculous invention was a portable clock that could fit in your pocket. They were made of silver, gold or bronze. It was sometimes called the celestial clock. People didn't start using them until a few years after he created it. Some people connected it to their pocket, so it wouldn't fall. Peter made it to be a portable clock that didn't require falling weights. Some pocket watches had a flip open part to protect the screen.
