Problem: Sequester cuts really affect Reservation School Systems.

Why have budget cuts affected reservation schools?

The reservation schools are unable to afford the much needed resources such as teachers, athletic coordinators and counselors. Many programs are getting trimmed or cut all together.

What is different about reservation schools from normal schools?

They specifically need help because they are affect more from government cuts. Unlike other schools, 60% of there funding comes from the government so when they get cut, they really feel it.

Why do reservation schools specifically need help?

They need help because the suicide rate in reservations is extremely high and because of the funding most schools can only afford one counselor to help thousands of students.  The schools don't have enough to pay summer school teachers meaning that students do not have the chance to improve themselves.

What can be done to improve reservation schools?

The government can give away more money to the education schools to give them proper tools for teaching and learning.

How can we fix this?

The best way to fix this would be to budget more money to the school. The legislatures don't need to be as much as they do so if a little bit is taken from there salary it would pay for the increase in funding. It does not have to be much but enough for the school to supply what they need to keep it safe and successful.
