Hypertension and Prevention
Hypertension is a form of high blood pressure. Normally people with Hypertension are in a great deal of psychological stress. Hypertension doesn't have one specific cause but there are many things to contribute to the problem. This includes stress, genetics, poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, obesity, and lack of exercise.
How do you know?: Hypertension can be a quiet problem, but some symptoms include severe headaches, confusion, irregular heartbeat, fatigue, difficulty breathing, chest pains, and vision problems.
Diagnosis: There aren't many test to check for hypertension besides monitoring your blood pressure.
Probability: Nearly thirty percent of Americans suffer from Hypertension.
Risk Factors: If not taken care of properly Hypertension can lead to strokes, kidney problems, and heart failure.
Prevention: Doctors can prescribe a type of medicine to help control blood pressure but it only helps if you apply healthy habits in your life. Such as regular exercise, healthy diet, high calcium, high potassium, low sodium and low cholesterol.
Treatment: Treatment for Hypertension falls along the lines of prevention, if you live an unhealthy lifestyle then there isn't much to be done.
