Ghosts of Columbus, OH
Jaeger Machine Company 1920-1960
Jaeger Machine Company began manufacturing cement mixers in Columbus, OH in 1920 and operated until 1960. Jaeger sales literature printed in 1935 claimed that its Columbus, Ohio, factory was the world’s largest devoted exclusively to construction equipment manufacturing at that time.
One day, while out taking photos, I stumbled upon an open door and went inside...
These photos were taken inside the old Jaeger Machine Company factory in downtown Columbus, Ohio. As you can see, the building at the time was filled with old industrial metalworking equipment. Some of it dates back to the late 1800's. The lighting was amazing so I decided to take my first HDR (High Dynamic Range) photos. These shots are composed of three exposures each and were composited in Photomatrix Pro.
